How On Deck keeps kids safe

Safety and privacy

Accounts are for adults

Parents, guardians, coaches and volunteers sign up. Players don't have accounts. Everyone confirms they're 18 or older when they join.

Team boards are private to the team

You get onto a team with the invite code your coach hands out. Only people on that team, plus the league's organizers, can read its board and roster. Change the code any time and the old one stops working.

Every message is a group message

There are no private messages. Coaches and parents talk on the team board, where every adult on the team can see it. This follows the youth-sports practice of keeping adult-to-player communication open and observable.

Keep kids' details off the board

Don't post a child's full name, school, photo, home address or phone number. First names and jersey numbers are plenty. Coaches and league organizers can delete any post on their boards.

What we store

Your email (to sign you in), the name you choose, the teams you join and what you post. Your email is never shown to other members. Your name is shown only to people on your teams and in your leagues.

Report a problem

Tell your coach or league organizer. They can remove posts and people from the team right away.
